A Prayer for Vocations

Gracious God,
You have called me to life
and gifted me in many ways.
Through Baptism You have sent me
to continue the mission of Jesus
by sharing my love with others.
Strengthen me to respond to
Your call each day.
Help me to become all You desire of me.
Inspire me to make a difference in
others’ lives.
Lead me to choose the way of life
You have planned for me.
Open the hearts of all to listen
to Your call.
Fill all with Your Holy Spirit that
we may have listening hearts and
the courage to respond to You.
Enkindle in my heart
and the hearts of others the desire
to make the world a better place
by serving as
Lay Minister, Priest,
Brother or Deacon.
Amen.

Vocations Team

Everything is a gift from God. The most precious gift we can have is the gift of faith. Faith enlightens everything. It shows us the meaning of our life and that we are not created just to die. Rather, we are created to spend eternity loving God in heaven. But this starts here and now. Faith and prayer are at the foundation of discerning a vocation. And a vocation is none other than the particular way God has created you to love Him. The priesthood is an incredible vocation by which a man is dedicated completely to God in the service of humanity. There is no greater joy, journey or privilege than being God’s instrument by which He chooses to save souls. I would love to hear from you if you feel God has planted the seed or thought of priesthood deep in your heart. Do not fear! God desires your salvation!
